Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) again received students from Wendesheim University, Netherlands. The meeting between Students, Undiksha leaders, and related departments occurred on Monday (6/3/2023). The students will participate in the Social Service and Language Course program in several places in Buleleng Regency, which are Undiksha partners.
Undiksha accepted 14 students. The student’s presence was welcomed by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I., accompanied by the Head of Undiksha’s Cooperation and Public Relations Agency, Made Windu Antara Kesiman, Ph.D. and his team. On this occasion, several government and private agencies in Buleleng Regency were partners in the program’s implementation.
Vice Rector Prof. Gede Rasben explained that this activity is a yearly collaboration. In addition to doing social service, the students will participate in BIPA (Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers) activities for one semester. In this program, the students will be accompanied by Undiksha students, and mentors or supervisors from Undiksha have also been prepared to jointly carry out the project. “So later, our lecturers will be equipped with P2M activities, so our LPPM will create a collaboration scheme with Wendesheim University,” he said.
Further conveyed, Wendesheim also plans to invite Undiksha students, especially from the nursing study program, to conduct their internship activities in the Netherlands. According to the plan, the program will be implemented in September. “September, hopefully, we can send our students to join the internship program, especially the nursing study program,” he explained.
Through this activity, Undiksha wants to become a learning house for the international community and as a form of implementation of Internationalization at home which Undiksha launched in 2019. (hms)
