Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) does not only give serious attention to the academic field. But also beyond that, namely soft skills education. This is an effort to realize the vision of becoming a superior university based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy in Asia by 2045. “Soft skills are not only important for students. “But also for all components,” said the Deputy Chancellor for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Pujawan, M.Kes., Wednesday (28/11/2018).
This academic from Sibang, Badung Regency stated that Undiksha demonstrated soft skills education through outbound activities. This year it took place on December 2 in Menyali Village, Sawan District, Buleleng. Apart from that, the previous year also went through a dharma discourse. The participants in this activity are first-semester students. “Through this, students can implement good or good things. At least on campus first. “Then it is transmitted to the community,” he said.
It was also emphasized that such education is not only provided by universities. But there also needs to be a role from the village government. “As an educational institution, we are obliged to organize this as a platform for students to implement good things,” he added. (hms)
