Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) socialized the implementation of Thematic Real Work Lectures (KKNT) to Village Heads in the Bangli Regency area, Friday (16/6/2023). Through this socialization, it is hoped that synergies will be built in the future in order to make the program successful.

Prof. Sudiana said his KKNT was attended by 1,312 students whose implementation was centered in Bangli Regency which is spread over 52 villages. Students will be deployed from July 10 to August 20, 2023. For about five weeks, students carry out a number of programs, consisting of mandatory group programs on disaster response; group choice programs consisting of village institutional/HR management programs, resource-based waste management, environmental sanitation and health, tourism development, conservation or socio-cultural strengthening, economy, and entrepreneurship. In addition, there is an individual program in the form of foster families.
Delivered further, KKNT is a form of implementation of the Independent Learning Campus Independent (MBKM) policy. This program is also one of the compulsory subjects for Undergraduate (S1)/D4 Undiksha students in order to provide learning experiences for living in the community and directly with the community identifying potential and dealing with problems so that they are expected to be able to develop village/regional potential and concocting solutions to existing problems in the village. In addition, it is also a form of learning activity that is expected to hone the soft skills of students in managing development programs in rural areas.
Through KKNT, Undiksha is expected to be able to contribute to developing villages in Bangli Regency according to the motto Bhukti Mukti Bhakti which means a devotion to God and the State to realize noble ideals, namely a just and prosperous society. Therefore, it is hoped that the implementation of this program will always receive support from the district and village governments.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Bangli Regency PMD-PPKB Office, Agung Purnama positively welcomed Bangli Regency as the destination for implementing the KKNT by Undiksha. According to him, the presence of students in society will provide motivation for the younger generation to pursue higher education. He emphasized that participation in higher education is very important to increase the Human Development Index (IPM).
In line with what was conveyed by Prof. Sudiana, KKNT is also expected to be able to contribute to handling problems that exist in the community and awaken the potential of the village.
During this socialization, there was also hope from the Village Head that the KKNT could be carried out for a long time so that programs designed by students could be realized optimally. Undiksha appreciates this and will be studied further. (hms)
