Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) is preparing students to join the double degree and fast-track program in France. This preparation begins with selecting dozens of International Class Initiation class students.
The program was opened for Computer Science Study Program, English Education Study Program, and D4 Hospitality Management Study Program. There were around 60 first-semester students who took part in the selection, consisting of TOEFL and psychological tests.
The Head of Undiksha’s Cooperation and Public Relations Agency, I Made Windu Antara Kesiman, Ph.D., in the psychological test on Tuesday (13/9/2022), said that the selected students will compete for 30 French language course seats, which are fully funded by Undiksha for the next 3 years. The knowledge gained will be used to face the selection of double degree and fast-track programs in France, one of Undiksha’s flagship international programs. “Because this is a long-term investment program, the success can only be seen in the next 3 years. So hopefully during these 3 years, the students who get scholarships to learn French can be consistent and hope to graduate with a French certificate so that in the 4th year they can join the double degree and fast track exchange to France easily, “he said.
In addition to a double degree and fast-track preparation, the selection was also made for 5 seventh-semester students from the Computer Science Study Program to get a scholarship from the French Embassy. “The interview is waiting for the schedule after the psychological test announcement,” said the Undiksha’s Faculty of Engineering and Vocational Studies lecturer.
First-semester student from the English Education Study Program, Putu Savita Raditya Putri, admitted that she was interested in participating in this selection because she wanted to join an overseas program and gain experience in other fields. The same thing was conveyed by seventh-semester students, Dwi Prima Handayani Putri and Kadek Utari Darma Putri. Both of them want to have an international experience. “Hopefully, international experiences can be opened again for me and my friends,” she said. (hms)
