The Family Welfare Education Study Program (PKK) of the Technical and Vocational Faculty (FTK) of Ganesha Education University has been around for a long time. This study program not only produces graduates who are ready to become teachers. But also an entrepreneur. “Indeed, this study program is educational. But graduates don’t just become teachers. “The skills you have can also make you an entrepreneur,” said the Head of Study Program, Dr. Dra. Risa P. Ariani, M.Sc., accompanied by the visit of the Chancellor of Undiksha, Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., Thursday (22/11/2018).
This study program consists of culinary, fashion, make-up, and hotel accommodation majors. Every year, student admissions are limited to 50 people. This adapts to the practice equipment. “Most of it is cooking,” he said. It was further stated that many graduates of the faculty, which was founded in 1990, are already involved in the business world. This response was positive. “Many teachers at tourism schools also graduate here,” he said. Dean of FTK, Dr. Gede Sudirtha, S.Pd., M.Pd., said that his party does not only focus on improving students’ academic quality. But it is also non-academic, one of which is providing entrepreneurial knowledge. This is very important as a preparation for facing increasingly tight competition in the world of work, especially in Industry 4.0. “We at FTK prepare graduates who can compete through non-academic activities. Seminars are one of them. “This is to increase insight regarding how to build creativity,” he said. (hms)
