Singaraja- The Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) movement to anticipate the spread of Covid-19 continues. This was demonstrated again by donating two thousand masks and hand sanitizers to Kodim 1609/Buleleng. The submission was made by the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., to the Dandim, Lt. Col. Inf Muhammad Windra Lisrianto, Tuesday (14/4/2020) after the closing ceremony of the TNI Manunggal Build Village (TMMD) program.
The Chancellor of Jampel explained that the funds for procuring mask assistance came from the helping hands of the Undiksha family and hand sanitizers were produced by students. This movement is one of the efforts to create a healthy Buleleng society, free from Covid-19. “We have to maintain how the whole Buleleng community is healthy. We don’t want any of the people of Buleleng to be unhealthy,” he said while hoping that the assistance could be distributed back to the community.
Dandim, Windra Lisrianto appreciated the Undiksha movement for supporting government programs in efforts to prevent Covid-19. It is hoped that similar things can continue and can contribute more to regional development, especially in Buleleng. He continued, some of the assistance would be handed over to the Army Hospital in Buleleng and some would be distributed directly to the community. “We hope that the Covid-19 pandemic will end quickly and the situation will return to normal,” he said. Previously, Undiksha also made donations in the form of personal protective equipment (PPE) for medical personnel and distributed a thousand masks to residents in Buleleng Regency. In an effort to support online learning, students are also given internet package data assistance. (hms)
