Singaraja- Lovina tourist attraction is one of the attractions of foreign tourists. This object is located in Buleleng district which offers beautiful beaches and stretches of mountains. The presence of this tourist attraction cannot be separated from the progress of Anak Agung Pandji Tisna. A figure with extraordinary thoughts to build the land of Bali. He was also recognized as the “Father of Bali Tourism”.
Among writers, Pandji Tisna is also known as a famous novelist of the New Poet class. A number of literary works have been born from his thoughts. His novels which are well-known and read by many people include Ni Rawit Ceti Penjual Orang and Sukreni Gadis Bali. He also wrote a number of poems.
So many years have passed, and there is one of Pandji Tisna’s legacies that can still be witnessed. Is a building that is now a museum. The location is in the Lovina area, precisely in Kaliasem Village, Buleleng Regency.
Visited, Tuesday (26/4/2022), this building has a classic feel while still carrying Balinese architecture. When you enter the museum which is on the second floor of one of the buildings, you can really feel the academic “strength”. Various types of books with various titles appear to adorn the wooden shelves that stand in the corner of the room. On one of the walls, there is also a Pandji Tisna painting. There is also a typewriter that looks old. This object was often used by Pandji Tisna to write literary works and so on.
This place is a witness of Pandji Tisna’s life journey before he died. This led to the interest of academics at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) to support the museum as a vehicle for education and to sweeten Lovina’s tourism.
That academic is Dr. I Wayan Artika, S.Pd., M.Hum., Prof. Dr. I Made Sutama, M.Pd., and I Made Astika, S.Pd., M.A. The three of them who are members of one team rolled out a service program. The team leader, I Wayan Artika, explained that this community service program is included in the category of fostered villages whose aim is to help villages develop their various potentials. He sees the Pandji Tisna museum as having extraordinary potential to be used as literary tourism which can further enrich conventional tourism. “The connection with conventional tourism, with the presence of literary tourism will enrich it. That used to be the limit,” he explained.
Currently, the stages of implementing a new program are identifying books and various relics from Pandji Tisna. In the future, various activities are planned, such as literary festivals, reading festivals, and writing festivals associated with traveling. “This is at the same time getting to know Pandji Tisna. It tends to be tourism with a literary menu,” he said.
The academic who is active in the grassroots literacy movement believes that literary tourism has an attraction for foreign tourists who generally have a high literacy culture. “This is very interesting. We don’t give a novel, but a synopsis. I think we can be “sold”, he added.
The implementation of this program received a positive response from Anak Agung Ngurah Teguh Kosala Negara, one of Pandji Tisna’s successors. He hopes that his museum can develop further and be able to give color to tourism, especially in the Lovina area. “I am very enthusiastic and hopefully in the future, there will be better developments for this museum and I am also very grateful to Mr. Wayan Artika who is willing to give an effort to build this museum,” he said.
He also hopes that by becoming more alive this museum can become a vehicle for the public to get to know Pandji Tisna more and more, both in the world of literature and in developing Lovina tourism. (hms)
