Badung- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) is committed to becoming an institution with integrity, a Corruption Free Area (WBK), and a Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Area (WBBM). This commitment was realized by the declaration, Tuesday (5/7/2022). In this case, Undiksha was represented by the Faculty of Education.
The declaration which took place in Kuta, Badung Regency was attended by the Inspector General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Inspector General of the Ministry of Education and Culture) Dr. Chatarina Muliana, S.H., S.E., M.H. She, who also gave directions, expressed his appreciation for the commitment of the Chancellor of Undiksha and his staff to become an institution with integrity towards WBK/WBBM. “Support from the highest leadership and the Senate for the WBK team is very important and a strategy in order to make changes in every WBK/WBBM stage plans,” she said.
She said that the enthusiasm of universities to become a zone of integrity towards WBK/WBBM was extraordinary. This follows the existence of a policy that a university can be represented by one faculty. He explained that an important aspect that must be considered by tertiary institutions to become WBK/WBBM is to carry out change management from their leaders, then strengthen policies, and show or show accountability and transparency in management. “So there must be things that are built, for example regarding gratuity control, what are the complaints from the public, what is the implementation and optimization like. This needs the support of service innovation,” she explained.
She added, after the designation, there are further stages that must be passed. In this case, the ministry will conduct monitoring and evaluation. “The internal assessment team will come down to see the steps in preparation for building the change factors carried out by the Dean and the WBK team,” she added.
Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., said that Undiksha’s steps to become WBK/WBBM had actually started several years ago. This is done by increasing the integrity and professionalism of human resources as expected by the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan-RB). “Such as how concerned we are, our responsibility, our discipline, how we must have the courage to take risks from all the activities we carry out,” he said.
He who is known as a humble rector also explains the appointment of FIP to represent Undiksha not only because it is listed as the oldest faculty, but also because all study programs are accredited by A. This achievement is believed to be based on the integrity of the academic community.
This declaration is expected to get the full support of the entire academic community. It is also hoped that FIP can become a mouthpiece for other faculties. Meanwhile, the Dean of FIP Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi., said that to welcome this declaration, his party had made preparations, starting from the mental preparation of the lecturers, staff, laboratory assistants and students, and so on. “For the next activity, we are compiling a program according to leverage,” he explained.
According to him, to become WBK/WBBM, the best service must be provided. Likewise, budget management must be transparent and accountable. “How do we manage the budget, even a penny is not corrupted. WBK aims to prevent corruption, while WBBM prevents KKN (corruption, collusion, and nepotism),” he concluded.
The declaration event was marked by the signing of a charter by the Inspector General of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Dr. Chatarina Muliana, S.H., S.E., M.H., Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., Chairperson of the Undiksha Senate, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Sudiana, M.Pd., and the Dean of FIP, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi. In addition, there was also the Head of BPMP Bali Province, I Made Alit Dwitama, S.T., M.Pd., as a witness.
This declaration was witnessed by Heads of Institutions, Bureau Heads, Deans, Postgraduate Directors, Heads of Departments, and Coordinating Study Programs within the Undiksha FIP environment, as well as by students offline.
