Badung- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) held a pre-development coordination meeting (Rakorbang) for 2021 and 2022, in Kuta, Badung Regency, Saturday (21/11/2020) and Sunday (22/11/2020). The programs formulated relate to the academic and cooperation fields as well as the student affairs sector which will then be presented at the development coordination meeting in December 2020.
This activity was opened directly by the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd. He conveyed that the program design must refer to several things. The most important is related to the main performance indicators (IKU), namely human resource aspects, institutional aspects, student aspects, research and community service aspects, and innovation aspects. The Human Resources aspect relates to the number of lecturers with doctorate qualifications, the number of lecturers with educator certificates, the number of lecturers with professorships and head lecturer positions, the number of lecturers with the position of lecturer, as well as the number of teaching staff. The institutional aspect concerns the ranking of universities on a national and international scale, university accreditation, the number of internationally accredited study programs, the number of collaborations, the number of science and technology parks, the number of centers of excellence in higher education institutions, and the ratio of the number of lecturers to students. Meanwhile, the student aspect relates to the number of students who are entrepreneurs, the percentage of graduates with competence and professional certificates, the percentage of graduates who work directly, the number of outstanding students, the number of students, and the number of students receiving scholarships.
Aspects of research and community service include the number of national and international publications, the number of registered intellectual property, the number of prototypes, as well as the number of research that can be utilized by the community. Finally, the innovation aspect concerns the number of innovative products utilized by the industry and the number of technology-based start-up companies. “What is there, must be answered through a program of activities. Don’t be anything else. Let this come first,” he said.
The implementation of these programs, continued Jampel, will have an impact on accelerating the realization of Undiksha’s vision of “Becoming an Excellent University Based on the Tri Hita Karana Philosophy in Asia in 2045.” We want the vision to be achieved more quickly. So programs related to IKU must really be carried out properly,” he said.
On that occasion, the Chancellor who was born in 1959 also expressed his appreciation for Undiksha’s performance achievements in 2020. In the midst of Undiksha’s status as a Public Service Agency (BLU) whose income is relatively small, in the student ranking information system (Simkatmawa), Undiksha managed to be ranked 23rd nationally. Likewise, the number of students who made achievements at the national and international levels showed a positive trend.
Appreciation is also aimed at the number of excellent accredited study programs and the increasing percentage of scientific publications. However, these achievements are requested to be maintained and continuously improved. Such as a study program that has national superior accreditation, can prepare for international accreditation. “What needs to be understood together, with Simkatmawa’s achievements, for next year, I don’t ask to go up to 20th rank, but this can be maintained. Students must develop a program that directs us so that the main demands in Simkatmawa are the main targets. Surely we will be able to maintain. We used to be able to, especially now. Because we already have experience,” he said. Reaching these targets, the Undiksha academic community is invited to always knit together, create harmony, and provide mutual support. (hms)
