Badung- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) not only welcomes Category I In-service Teacher Professional Education (PPG Daljab) in 2022 with refresher instructors. More than that, they also held a coordination meeting involving the implementation team in order to ensure readiness. The meeting took place from 15 to 17 July 2022 in Kuta, Badung Regency.
This meeting was attended by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T. M.T.I., Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Public Relations, and Alumni, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd. The two were accompanied by the Head of the Bureau of General Affairs and Finance, Ni Luh Wayan Yasmiati, S.H., M.Pd., and the Head of the AKPK Bureau, Drs. I Made Yasa, M.Pd.
On that occasion, Rasben Dantes expressed his appreciation for the implementation team who had committed to making PPG successful, including the implementation of the previous PPG which had gone well. “We can also provide services to all participants, all students. Likewise from the lecturers, instructors can also provide knowledge and experience, “he said.
He hopes that the implementation of PPG can continue to contribute to improving the quality of teachers in the future as one critical point to be able to produce superior Human Resources (HR).
Meanwhile, Deputy Chancellor I Wayan Suastra emphasized the importance of the commitment from the Undiksha PPG implementation team. He hopes that all of them can work according to their responsibilities and always provide the best service for the participants.
PPG Undiksha Coordinator, Drs. I Gede Nurjaya, M.Pd., explained that 1,145 PPG Category I participants consisted of 12 fields of study and were divided into 34 study groups. The fields of study are Balinese, Indonesian, English, guidance and counseling, science, mathematics, PGPAUD, PGSD, physical and health education, Pancasila and civics education, fine arts, computer engineering, and informatics. PPG participants are teachers who were appointed before 2015. “Later there will be category II, namely teachers who were appointed from 2016 to 2019,” he explained.
It was emphasized that Undiksha was very ready to implement this national program. PPG stages are carried out online, starting from material deepening, device development, and Field Experience Practice (PPL) the same as in 2021. “Even PPL is carried out in schools where the teachers are assigned or work,” he said.
He invited the participants to prepare themselves well and equip themselves with the ability to use IT. Likewise, the readiness of devices and internet networks must be considered. “This is very necessary,” he concluded. (hms)
