Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) through the Institute for Quality Assurance and Learning Development (LPMPP) held a Basic Skills Enhancement Instructional Techniques (PEKERTI) training for Undiksha lecturers. The activity aims to improve the professionalism of lecturers, especially in the aspects of education and teaching, was officially opened on Monday (10/3/2025) by Undiksha’s Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I.
The training which took place for one week was attended by 45 Undiksha lecturers, most of whom were CPNS. Prof. Rasben Dantes in his speech emphasized the importance of improving pedagogical skills and professionalism for lecturers in carrying out their duties as educators. He added, in dealing with students with various characteristics, lecturers must be able to manage classes effectively with the right approach.
PEKERTI does not only focus on the transfer of knowledge and skills, but also on the transfer of values to students. Prof. Rasben also encouraged lecturers to be more adaptive and innovative in teaching, always updating learning materials to adapt to the times and technology that continues to advance.
This training involves 17 instructors who are Undiksha’s lecturers who are competent in their fields. As part of the activity, this training will also be closed with an outbound session that aims to strengthen relationships between participants and improve teamwork skills.
With training or activity like this, it is hoped that Undiksha’s lecturers can be more professional in providing quality teaching and relevant to the needs of today’s education world. (hms)
