This achievement is welcomed with pride and is expected to be a motivation for other lecturers to achieve the same position. In addition, Anantawikrama is expected to continue to develop knowledge that can provide benefits to the world of education and the wider community. “Of course, this is a matter of pride for us all because another Undiksha lecturer has won the position of Professor,” said the Chancellor of Jampel, accompanied by the Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Cooperation Affairs, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I., Deputy Chancellor for Planning, Administration, Finance and Human Resources, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd., and Head of General Affairs and Finance Bureau, Ni Luh Wayan Yasmiati, S.H.
Furthermore, the Chancellor of Jampel said that increasing the number of professors was his target every year. This is one of the efforts to further increase university competitiveness, both at the national and international levels. “Therefore, I always encourage lecturers who are already Associate Professors to immediately go on to become professors. Those who are still lecturers must immediately go to the Head Lector,” he said. Encouragement is also aimed at lecturers with master’s qualifications to continue their studies at the doctoral level. “We are targeting that in 2030, Undiksha will have zero masters,” he said.
Meanwhile, Anantawikrama admitted that getting a professor in Accounting Science took a long struggle. But what he wanted to convey the most was a big thank you for the support from the institution. “Because our campus has various programs that can motivate me to keep trying. If you compare it, this is like running a marathon, which is a struggle that really requires stamina, how can I keep my enthusiasm up with the support of the institution,” he said.
Reaching this level, he said, cannot be separated from the motivation of his father, who is also an Undiksha academic. He is Prof. Dr. Nengah Bring Atmadja, M.A. “In this struggle, the most motivating figure is my own father. He is the one who has always supported me to become who I am today, who has guided me to dedicate myself to the academic field so that I am always enthusiastic about doing it,” said the 44-year-old academic. According to him, this achievement is not the end of a journey, but the beginning of his work in the academic world. Therefore, he continues to improve his quality and contribute more optimally to the development of science. (hms)
