Singaraja– The Faculty of Education (FIP) of the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) is 57 years old. This faculty is encouraged to be the best in the country, both in terms of management, educational development, and graduates. This was conveyed by the Chancellor of Undiksha on the sidelines of a leisurely walk, Friday (11/29/2019).
This faculty consists of four study programs. Two of them already have an A or superior accreditation status. It is considered as one of the capital to be the best. “From this, I dare to hope for more from FIP to be the best. Not only at the Undiksha level but also nationally,” said Jampel.
The study program at FIP is considered to be very concerned about implementing institutional programs, including the Tri Hita Karana philosophy which forms its basis. Besides that, it is also in relation to realizing graduates who have Good Interpersonal Skills or superior character. “After having a superior character, it will be followed by developing the quality of the study program. If we look at it in terms of competence, there have been many achievements from FIP students. I hope to be the best faculty because it has good human resources. This also needs to be supported by infrastructure and commitment,” he added.
FIP Dean, Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi stated that creating a superior faculty has become his commitment. From that, his party has made a number of programs, ranging from increasing study program accreditation, maximizing online learning, and boosting the entry of foreign students as a form of support for the internationalization at home program that has been announced by the Chancellor in 2019. As a higher education institution, research and community service activities also continue to be improved through the formation of special groups. “The formation of this group is so that all FIP lecturers are involved in research and P2M activities,” he said. The same thing was also done in increasing the number of head lecturers and professors. On this anniversary, FIP held various activities, such as academic competitions that involved students and healthy walks. The event is also a way to raise the spirit of achievement and strengthen togetherness. (hms)
