Badung – Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) was holding an evaluation of the Teacher Profession Education or Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) 2022 implementation program in Kuta, Badung, Thursday (22/12/2022). There were several things to be improved in the future, starting from planning, implementation, and reporting.
This evaluation was attended by the Undiksha Head of Academic, Student Affairs, Planning and Cooperation Bureau, Drs. I Made Yasa, M.Pd., Head of General Affairs and Finance Bureau, Ni Luh Wayan Yasmiati, S.H., M.Pd., committee, and class admin.
PPG Undiksha Coordinator, Drs. I Gede Nurjaya, M.Pd., said evaluation or anticipatory reflection is to find out the good practices that have been carried out, the deficiencies or obstacles faced, and the opportunities and challenges in PPG management. Based on the identification, generally, the implementation of PPG Undiksha in 2022 has been going well. However, some things need to be fixed. First, the teaching recap reporting system and so on. Second, in the learning process, some students are still constrained in using Information Technology. Even though the amount is small, according to Nurjaya, it still needs to be anticipated by providing maximum guidance.
The third is administration. This aspect is very important to get attention because it can influence planning for PPG implementation in the future.
Meanwhile, regarding the performance of the PPG implementing committee, Nurjaya admitted that he was proud. The togetherness built in the committee was considered extraordinary and able to implement the Tri Hita Karana philosophy, which Undiksha intensively echoed. “This is something to be proud of. That’s why friends at PPG work all out without knowing a time limit and not complaining,” he said.
The Head of Academic, Student Affairs, Planning, and Cooperation Bureau Undiksha, I Made Yasa, who represented the Rector, assessed that the committee’s performance for the PPG’s success in 2022 was extraordinary. This result is indicated by the passing rate of participants which is always above the national average.
He hopes this performance can be maintained and continuously improved. This improvement needs always to be supported by good collaboration within the committee.
Apart from 2022, Undiksha will continue the PPG program in 2023, namely PPG in-Position Category I Batch II, and PPG Pre-position I Batch II. In addition, there is still the opportunity to become another PPG executor. (hms)
