Starting in 2019, the leadership of the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) held an evaluation meeting of achievements in 2018 in the Ganesha I Rectorate Room, on Wednesday (2/1). At that agreement, the Chancellor of Undiksha, Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., also conveyed the targets that must be realized throughout 2019.
This Chancellor from Badung Regency assesses that in 2018 there were still things that did not meet expectations. Such as campus cleanliness and use of infrastructure that does not refer to efficiency. “There is still waste, such as the use of electricity and other equipment. This must be evaluated. Likewise, cleanliness must be monitored regularly,” he said.
Other things that are closely related to improving the quality of education also cannot escape attention. Such as lecturer educational qualifications, the period of time students have studied, article publications, and institutional accreditation. “We hope there will continue to be improvements in quality,” he stressed.
Specifically, 2019 was used as the foundation year for the reputable international university program. The program includes developing a KKNI-based curriculum with international recognition, increasing the quality and quantity of international research, international replication, and international conferences. Apart from that, there is also the development of internationally standardized infrastructure, strengthening democratic, humanist, and collaborative higher education governance based on ubiquitous services with the use of modern information technology.
Strengthening and improving the quality of Human Resources (HR), both staff and lecturers, is also a focus. All of them are encouraged to have international recognition. Likewise for student achievement. “Regular students from abroad also need to be increased. “Likewise with cooperation and accreditation of study programs,” said Jampel.
The evaluation and targets set are nothing more than weapons to realize Undiksha’s vision as a superior university based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy in Asia by 2045. “Making this happen requires the cooperation of the entire academic community. “Quality must continue to be improved,” he added.
