New student admissions for the 2019/2020 academic year are being prepared at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha), including for the D-III Midwifery Study Program, Faculty of Sports and Health. This study program, whose campus is located on Jalan Bisma, Singaraja, provides a minimum quota of 90 people. “That is the minimum quota for new students. “Acceptance could be more than that,” said Head of Study Program, Luh Nik Armini, S.ST., M.Keb, Tuesday (27/11/2018).
Midwifery study programs are owned by a number of universities in Bali. Especially for Undiksha, there are advantages offered. Namely, students are provided with dormitories and are also directed towards community midwifery, namely becoming village midwives. “There are also independent practices here in all hospitals and health centers throughout Bali. We also implement community midwifery. Graduates will not only be oriented towards working in hospitals. But it can be done in villages,” she explained.
Apart from that, students are also provided with home care education. Through this, graduates will be able to practice independently to earn income. “Home care education is indeed provided. “Most of the graduates here can get a job within three months after graduating,” said the Head of the Study Program from Selat Village, Sukasada District.
