The academic community of Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) feels concerned for the victims of the Palu, Donggala, and Sigi earthquakes, in Central Sulawesi. Lightening their burden, material assistance was distributed. The release of volunteers by the Chancellor, Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., took place, Tuesday (13/11/2018).
The Chancellor from Badung Regency said that the assistance was collected from students, staff, and lecturers. Some of the distribution is through the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. “Hopefully with this assistance, residents who are victims of disasters can be helped,” he said.
Volunteers are asked not only to focus on distributing aid. But you can also take lessons from conditions in the field. “We also hope to be able to provide a good image in society, including continuing to carry Undiksha’s vision of becoming a superior university based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy in Asia 2045,” he said.
Furthermore, for earthquake and tsunami victims who are no longer able to continue their education at tertiary institutions, this state university which has a Faculty of Medicine is ready to accept them to continue, free of charge. “What is clear is that Undiksha is ready to ease the burden on the people who are victims,” he added.
