Singaraja- Online Learning continues to be encouraged by the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha). This received support from the Faculty of Medicine (FK). To confirm this, a national Blended Learning seminar was held, on Saturday (18/5/2019).
The seminar which took place at the FK Jinengdalem campus, Buleleng Regency presented two speakers, namely the Head of the Undiksha Online Learning Development Team, Dr. I Gde Wawan Sudatha, S.Pd., S.T., M.Pd and Prof. Dr. Irawan Yusuf, Ph.D from Hasanuddin University.
Deputy Chancellor I Undiksha, Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Arnyana, M.Sc., when opening the event, said that online learning at Undiksha has been running since 2018. It’s just that it has only just targeted Personality Development Courses (MPK). According to the evaluation, the results are classified as good. This breakthrough also indirectly fosters a disciplined attitude in students and lecturers, because learning is regulated by a system. “There are six that have been online and have blended learning,” he explained. This innovation continues to be strengthened by correcting shortcomings and expanding its targets. “That’s why we asked the team to improve it again. Undiksha has indeed done that (Online-ed). We have also recorded e-learning that has been implemented by lecturers. Indeed, e-learning has been used for a long time. But it’s not yet a university program,” he said.
It was further stated that in 2019, the Chancellor of Undiksha also wanted online learning to be taken more seriously. In fact, FK is encouraged to be the leader in implementing this. “The activities carried out by FK are certainly in line with university programs. “We want FK to become a leader in online learning,” he said.
He continued, based on the results of communication with Prof. Irawan Yusuf previously stated that online learning was very well developed at FK. “Previously people were a priori with online learning, especially in Medicine. It turns out Prof. “Irawan provided motivation that this learning is really very useful,” he said. To make this happen, it cannot be denied that there needs to be thorough preparation, starting with materials, facilities, infrastructure, and Human Resources (HR). “Sometimes lecturers are not ready. “This must be encouraged,” he added.
