Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha), Singaraja, Bali became the destination of the Roadshow “Bali Digital Innovation Festival (BALIGIVATION) 2023” organized by Bank Indonesia, Thursday (6/4/2024). This activity aims to create a digital economic and financial ecosystem while encouraging the younger generation’s creativity to innovate by utilizing digital technology in supporting efforts to restore the national economy.
Deputy Director of the Bali Province Representative Office of Bank Indonesia, Agus Sistyo Widjajati, explained that this roadshow also aims to increase the existence of digitalization, especially for people in Buleleng, so that they can take advantage of digital technology as a means to improve the community’s economy. “Digitalization is not something complicated or difficult, but close to our lives so it should be easy for us to accept,” he explained.
This roadshow also conveyed that several competitions were held in BALIGIVATION 2023, including the Creative Idea Competition (Banjar Digital: Innovation to Build Bali) targeting villages in Bali. This competition was held to strengthen the economy in each village in Bali so that it is not easily disturbed by external factors and to encourage the younger generation’s entrepreneurial spirit to take advantage of digitalization for creative ideas that produce. Another competition is the Lokapala E-Sport (Digital Warrior: Ksatriya Bani Satya).
The roadshow conducted in several cities in Bali is expected to inspire people to want to utilize digital technology for consumption and productive activities that can build the community’s economy from below.
Undiksha’s Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Public Relations, and Alumni, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., welcomed this activity at Undiksha positively. He hopes that through this activity, the students, especially Undiksha students, can participate in the competition that will be held to be able to hone their creative ideas and know their potential. “I ask Undiksha students to participate in this activity to discover their potential, so their creative ideas are poured,” he said.
