Singaraja- Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) received a visit from Tunas Pembangunan University (UTP) Surakarta, on Wednesday (20/3/2019). This is not only filled with sharing information regarding higher education. But there was also the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the implementation of programs to improve the quality of education.
The visit was received by the Deputy Chancellor for Planning and Cooperation at Undiksha, Drs. I Wayan Suarnajaya, M.A., Ph.D in the Ganesha III Room of the Rectorate. The former Dean of the Undiksha Faculty of Languages and Arts said that as an educational institution, his party positively welcomes universities that want to collaborate, both in student exchanges, teaching staff, and joint research. “We hope that this collaboration can be mutually beneficial and able to improve the quality of education,” he explained accompanied by Deputy Dean I of the Undiksha Faculty of Sports and Health, Dr. I Gede Yoda, S.Pd., M.Or.
At this meeting, the form or field of cooperation was not immediately determined. This will immediately be followed up with a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA). “After this meeting, of course, there will be further communication,” said the Warek from Ped Village, Nusa Penida District, Klungkung Regency.
He further stated that so far Undiksha has collaborated with a number of universities spread across Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Malaysia, one of which is in implementing the PKL and PPL programs. “We continue to strive to expand it to other countries,” he said.
The Chancellor of UTP Surakarta, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tresna Priyana Soemadi, S.E., M.S. It is hoped that this collaboration can run sustainably and obtain results that can improve the grades of institutions and education in general. His presence at the university with eight faculties was accompanied by the vice-rector and a number of deans. His visit was also continued to the FOK campus in Jinengdalem Village, Buleleng. (hms)
