Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) in 2022 receives students from Windesheim University, Netherlands. The meeting with Undiksha leadership and related departments was held on Monday (3/10/2022). The students will follow the Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers or Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) program and carry out social activities in several places in Buleleng Regency.
There were nine students accepted by Undiksha. The students were welcomed by Undiksha’s Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I., and the Head of Undiksha’s Cooperation and Public Relations Agency, Made Windu Antara Kesiman, Ph.D., and his team. On this occasion, there were also several government and private agencies in Buleleng Regency who were partners in the implementation of the program.
At this meeting, Wendesheim University’s representative, Jannie Lensen, appreciated Undiksha and other parties for this collaboration. Based on the presentation delivered by the students, the program to be implemented is not limited to the BIPA program. In addition, there are also social activities in the form of community empowerment, educational and teaching activities, health-related activities, and environmental care activities.
Undiksha Vice Rector Rasben Dantes also appreciated the collaboration with Wendesheim University, which has been running for several years. He hopes the program implemented can support the realization of sustainable development goals. “I hope all activities can run smoothly. Likewise, this collaboration can continue,” he said.
The presence of students from abroad is also a form of implementation of the internationalization at home program launched by Undiksha in 2019. Through this program, Undiksha is desired to become a learning house for the international community. (hms)
