Bangli- Belantih Village is steadily advancing towards becoming a recognized center for the coffee industry. This progress is marked by the implementation of a training session focused on developing digital-based coffee business management, initiated by Undiksha Academics. The training was attended by several UMKM involved in coffee processing in Belantih Village, including Belantih Coffee Farm, the Dharma Kriya Team, and Dete Coffee. The event, held at Belantih Coffee Farm in Lunjangan, Belantih Village, fearured two speakers from Undiksha, Sunitha Devi, S.E, M.Si., Ak., and Dr. A.A. Ngurah Yudha Martin Mahardika, S.Pd., M.Pd.
I Wayan Pardi S.Pd., M.Pd., the service program implementer, explained that this initiative is part of Undiksha’s commitment to supporting regional potential development. This service program is planned to run for the next 3 years. Over this period, several training sessions and technological equipment procurements, such as hullers and pulpers, will be conducted in phases. These tools are expected to enhance the efficiency and quality of coffee production by farmers in Belantih.”We express our gratitude for support and active participation from Belantih village in the implementation of this activity. Strong cooperation between academics and the village is important for the success of this program,” he said.
Representing the Head of Belantih Village, I Nyoman Dana, the Head of Banjar Tangguan, expressed his appreciation for the service initiative. “We greatly appreciate this effort to develop the coffee industry in our village and promote Belantih Village on a broader scale,” he said.
He hoped that the training would be beneficial and effectively implemented by the coffee farmers to enhance the quality and competitiveness of coffee products, thereby contributing to the economic growth of the Belantih Village community. The participants also gained in-depth knowledge of digital marketing strategies. Speaker Sunitha Devi explained that product marketing could be done through social media platforms. However, each social media platform has its own characteristics and target audience, making it necessary to choose the appropriate platform. She also shared tips on creating engaging content for social media and strategies for effective advertising on various platforms, also advertising strategies for effective platforms.
The academics from the Accounting Study Program also emphasized that with good branding, local coffee products could become more memorable and stand out from competitors. Meanwhile, speakers A.A. Ngurah Yudha Martin Mahardika provided hands-on training on photography and videography of coffee products. He emphasized the importance of high-quality visuals in marketing coffee products. “Photography and videography are key tools in marketing coffee products in this digital era,” he said.
Furthermore, he explained that attractive images and videos could help local coffee products gain wider recognition and attract more consumers. Participants were taught the correct techniques for capturing photos and videos, including angle selection, lighting, and basic editing.
