Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) has conducted the Teacher Professional Education Student Competency Examination (UKMPPG) in Position Category I Batch 2 of 2023 on 24 and 25 June 2023. Supervisors appreciate the implementation of the exam and specifically the supervisor’s performance.
This exam was carried out based on domicile which was attended by 2,400 participants from various regions in Indonesia. These participants not only take part in the In-service PPG program at Undiksha but also at other tertiary institutions. Undiksha deployed 44 supervisors to ensure participants took the exam well and did not violate the rules.
This exam receives monitoring from the Education Testing Management Center (BP3) and Supervisors. For two running days consisting of four sessions, Supervisor Kusmajid Abdullah accompanied by Supervisor Naniek Sulistya Wardani assessed that the exams carried out by Undiksha went very well and had been well prepared by the committee, both in terms of infrastructure and supervisors. He also found no significant obstacles in this exam. “There are usual disturbances, for example, network, servers, those cannot be predicted by the committee,” he explained.
The test takers’ ability to use the application was also considered good. However, it needs to be continuously improved along with the development of information technology sophistication. “So that fellow participants must always improve literacy to be better so that later if someone does not pass. Hopefully, there won’t be, in the future, it will follow again so it must be improved,” he said.
Delivered further, this exam found indications of participants trying to commit fraud by asking for help from other people when answering questions and using devices that did not comply with the provisions. However, there were no more than two of them and the supervisors prevented them. The alertness, thoroughness, and firmness of supervisors are appreciated. “In general it doesn’t get in the way and they have to stay focused on taking the exam,” said Abdullah.
The examinees are expected to pass one hundred percent. In addition, Undiksha can maintain the administration of exams that are already running well and can continue to be improved. (hms)
