Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) is one of the universities implementing the Teaching Campus Program. One of the superior programs initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. At Undiksha, this national program was welcomed by students.
“The Teaching Campus Program was very well received by Undiksha students, both from education study programs and other groups,” explained the Head of the Quality Assurance and Learning Development Institute, I Gede Sudirtha, quoted from a news release from the Ministry of Education and Research and Technology’s Teaching Campus Team.
The former Dean of the Undiksha Technical and Vocational Faculty said that Undiksha student participation had started since the Pioneer Batch Teaching Campus in 2020. It was recorded that there were 39 students involved.
Undiksha’s support for the implementation of the Independent Independent Campus Learning (MBKM) policy is also implemented through the implementation of various Independent Independent Campus (KMM) programs, especially teaching assistance activities in educational units.
Coordinator of the Undiksha Teaching Campus Program, Putu Mas Dewantara, explained that to date there have been more than 1,500 Undiksha students who have taken part in the Teaching Campus Program. In its implementation, it is said that in general, it has gone well. However, he hopes that in the future there will still be efforts to improve quality. Apart from that, student participation is increasing, and support from supervisors and program implementation partners is getting stronger.
The traces of usefulness of the program which invites students to serve in educational units also received appreciation from the Buleleng Regency Education, Youth and Sports Service (Disdikpora) which was conveyed by the Secretary of the Buleleng Regency Education and Youth Department, Ida Bagus Gde Surya Bharata. In a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Education and Culture, who came to carry out monitoring and evaluation (monev) activities from Monday to Thursday (23-26/10), Ida Bagus Surya said that the presence of the Teaching Campus Program students had succeeded in providing a new color to the learning process at the target schools. is in the Buleleng Regency area, Bali Province.
“Our impression of the implementation of the Teaching Campus Program in Buleleng Regency is certainly very positive. We have felt the benefits directly. “So during implementation in the previous generation until now, we welcomed, accompanied, and also supervised the students on duty,” he said.
Apart from having an impact on schools, Ida Bagus Surya also believes that the implementation of the Teaching Campus Program can be a learning tool for students to gain earlier work experience, especially as teachers.
“Since the implementation of the sixth generation program last August, until now the student assignments in Buleleng Regency have gone very well. “Even though the students’ study program backgrounds are diverse and do not only come from education study programs, they gain a lot of experience, especially in emotional aspects and social sensitivity,” he added.
Welcoming the Class 7 Teaching Campus Program whose assignment will take place in 2024, the Teaching Campus Program team also carried out registration outreach to the academic community at Undiksha on Wednesday (25/10). Attended by hundreds of students, lecturers, study program coordinators, and faculty leaders, the Ministry of Education and Culture announced that registration for Class 7 Teaching Campuses will open on November 1, 2023.
In response to the enthusiasm of students in previous generations, the Class 7 Teaching Campus Program will also open up more opportunities where as many as 28,500 students are targeted to be deployed to more than 5,000 target schools consisting of elementary, middle, and vocational schools.
