Singaraja- The Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) Alumni Family Association (IKA) is participating in the success of the Pre-service Teacher Professional Education (PPG) program in 2022. Participation is shown by holding special outreach to alumni and the public, Tuesday (20/9/2022).
The socialization which took place online was opened by the Chairperson of IKA Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd. He, who is also the Chancellor of Undiksha, expressed his appreciation for the implementation of this activity. According to him, this is a form of IKA Undiksha’s commitment to participate in the success of the Pre-service PPG program launched by the government in order to create increasingly superior teachers in the future. “Through this socialization, I hope to encourage alumni and non-educational graduates to take part in Pre-service PPG,” he hoped.
Delivered further, specifically, Undiksha as an Education Personnel Education Institution (LPTK) also encourages alumni to take part in the Pre-service PPG program. “In addition to being trusted as PPG executor, Undiksha also invites alumni to take part in PPG. We hope that this PPG can produce qualified teachers who must be well-planned,” he added.
This socialization presented two speakers from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek), namely the Coordinator of the PPG Working Group, Dr. Zainun Misbah, S.S., M.Sc and Pre-service PPG Monitoring and Evaluation Sub-Coordinator, Yulia Gita Fany, S.T., M.Sc. The material presented is related to the 2022 Pre-service PPG policy and the registration mechanism.
In general, it is stated that registration for prospective PPG Pre-service students has entered batch II which is open from August 26 to September 26 2022 via SIMPKB on the https://ppg.kemdikbud.go.id page, with the registration linkhttps://ppg-prajab.simpkb.id/pendaftaran. Selection is open for 18 priority fields of study. This is to fill the national teacher quota which in 2022 will be allocated as many as 40,000 formations.
In addition, this year’s Pre-service PPG students will receive scholarships in the form of tuition fees for 2 semesters per 1 year. One of the requirements for applicants is an undergraduate or D-IV graduate who has not been registered with the Basic Educator Data (Dapodik) and Simpatika. It was further explained that the Pre-service PPG program in 2022 was held to create a balance between the needs and fulfillment of teachers both in quality and quantity.
