Singaraja – The Buleleng Regency Government through the Buleleng Sub-District Head carried out the signing of the Cooperation Agreement with Ganesha University of Education as well as debriefing for students related to building a Village/Kelurahan Data Base in the Buleleng Sub-District in 2020. This activity was held in the Ganesha Room III Undiksha Rectorate Building, Thursday (6/2 /2020), and was attended by village heads and workmen throughout the Buleleng District and also students who will carry out this program.
Buleleng Sub-District Head, Gede Dody Sukma Oktiva Askara, S.Sos, M.Sc., really appreciate the enthusiasm of Undiksha students who are ready to participate in carrying out the 2020 population census in order to build a Village/Kelurahan Database in the Buleleng Sub-District. It was also revealed that Undiksha’s collaboration with the Buleleng Regency Government had been going on for quite a long time and had many positive impacts. “This collaboration is still in the corridor of the Cooperation Agreement between Undiksha and the Buleleng Regency Government. And now, we are trying to build a network of cooperation between the Buleleng sub-district and Undiksha which we are both proud of,” he said.
Undiksha deployed 200 students in this program who will be assigned as surveyors and data collectors, tasked door to door to collect population data. In this program, 2 students will be placed in every hamlet in the Buleleng sub-district. Dody also explained that several people were appointed as coordinators for each village. “It takes several leaders who will later supervise the many students who are assigned to each village. They are the ones who will coordinate and communicate with the district administration,” he said. The data collected by students is believed to be useful for many parties. “To get the latest data, population data, even the potential of each region. Moreover, Buleleng District is the pilot project for this program,” he added.
At the signing of this Cooperation Agreement (PKs), Undiksha was represented by the AKPK Bureau Head, Drs. I Made Yasa. This was witnessed by the Head of the Community and Village Empowerment Office of Buleleng Regency, I Made Subur, S.H. representing the Regent of Buleleng. In his remarks, Subur hoped that the collaboration between Undiksha and the Buleleng Regency Government would always prioritize the interests of the Buleleng people. “I am very aware that the collaboration program between Undiksha and the Buleleng Regency Government is oriented towards the interests of the Buleleng people. And with this program, we are very grateful to Undiksha students who are ready to help the Buleleng Sub-District Head make this program successful,” he said.
The same thing was expressed by the AKPK Bureau Head, Drs. I Made Yasa. Undiksha hopes that cooperation programs can be carried out in various other fields to create a superior Undiksha. “We are very grateful for the trust of the Buleleng Regency Government, in this case, the Buleleng Sub-District Head who involved Undiksha students in this census program. I hope that more collaboration will be established between Undiksha and the Buleleng Regency Government. Because the support of the Buleleng Regional Government is needed for Undiksha to be more advanced and superior,” he said. (hms)
