Singaraja- The Tri Hita Karana philosophy is the foundation for realizing Undiksha’s vision, to become a superior university in Asia in 2045. This philosophy is a concern of the Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS) to be properly implemented by the academic community. One of them is shown through tirta yatra activities to Campuhan Windu Segara Temple, Denpasar, Sunday (24/10/2021).
This activity was led by the Dean of the FBS Faculty, accompanied by representatives, and followed by educational staff. What was done was not only chanting and praying, but also listening to the dharma discourse of the temple administrator, Supreme Guru Aiteria Narayana. He conveyed his journey to become a spiritual devotee and the construction of temples. In addition, FBS also handed over cleaning tools.
FBS Dean, Prof. Dr. I Made Sutama, M.Pd., said Tri Hita Karana must be implemented by all academics in the Faculty in order to build harmony which can further improve the quality of performance. “As for Tri Hita Karana, in this activity, actually all three were hit. One, we do devotional service to Ida of the same family. The human relationship with God and all its manifestations. Second, there is an element of togetherness. In other words, we encourage each other to carry out sacred activities. So a harmonious relationship with fellow human beings is built. And finally, there was the handing over of aid in the form of cleaning equipment. We consider it part of the embodiment of creating harmony with the environment. So it’s like that,” he explained.
In particular, he conveyed tirta yatra as a medium to strengthen spiritual intelligence, namely intelligence that is able to see every situation with a broader and wiser perspective. Besides that, they are able to think positively, able to simplify problems, and most importantly always present God in every activity. With an increase in spirituality, there is an increase in morale based on a sense of devotion. “Spiritual will equalize our waves so that our movements are in tune in order to advance Undiksha. So one way is to get closer to the holy power through tirta yatra,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Chair of the Campuhan Windu Segara Temple, Maha Guru Aiteria Narayana expressed his appreciation for the attention of the FBS community. He explained that currently, a number of parts of the temple are still under construction. He hopes that the spirit of mutual cooperation among the people can continue to grow. Apart from tirta yatra, previously a workshop was also held for educational staff related to support for realizing Undiksha as an International Reputable University in Education and Leadership (IRUEL).
