Singaraja- The increase in the D3 Informatics Management Study Program at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) to the Software Engineering Technology Study Program (TRPL) has encouraged curriculum adjustments. This was prepared by the study program through the Vocational Competitive Fund program which is a grant from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek).
The main goal of the Vocational Competitive Fund program is to prepare graduates who are professional and adaptive to developments in software development technology, especially in the tourism industry and creative technology.
Strengthening this program, the Undiksha TRPL study program held a workshop. First, it will take place on September 19, 2022, and specifically discusses Strengthening the MBKM Curriculum based on Project Based Learning (PBL), Preparation of Project Based Learning Guidance Documents, and Recognition of Past Learning for the Applied Undergraduate Study Program. Then, the second workshop which took place on September 21 2022 was followed by the preparation of surveillance documents, SPMI, and the roadmap for the Applied Undergraduate Study Program.
This activity presented speakers, Agus Nugroho, S.T., M.T. from the Directorate General of Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture and Sugiyono, S.Sc., Ph.D., from Jenderal Soedirman University. This activity was opened by the Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Cooperation of Undiksha, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I. He conveyed that strengthening the TRPL study program through improving the curriculum was very important in order to produce superior and competitive graduates. “Because this has just increased its strata from D3 to D4, so the scheme we are taking (Vocational Competitive Fund program, ed) is scheme C, which is related to strengthening D4 study programs through improving the curriculum,” he explained.
The curriculum is expected to be relevant to needs, including being strengthened on an industry basis. In addition, learning methods are also directed towards referring to Project Based Learning (PBL) and the case method. “And also related to surveillance, how D4 is monitored to get accreditation, and I hope this D3 accreditation will later shift to D4 accreditation. I hope that through this activity that invites all applied undergraduate study programs, we both listen sharing from sources,” he concluded. (hms)
