Singaraja- The Law Study Program of Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) strives to improve students’ insights and experiences regarding state and legal institutions through Practical Field Work in State Institutions and Universities in Indonesia.
This visit took place on February 27 and March 1, 2023. The visit began at the State Institution, DPR RI and Mahkamah Konstitusi Republik Indonesia (MK-RI). Then continued to Universitas Gadjah Mada and Ahmad Universitas Dahlan.
Undiksha Law Study Program Coordinator, Ni Putu Rai Yuliartini, S.H., M.H., explained that this Practical Field Work is a space for students to gain insight and experience to students. Through this visitation, students can see real examples of the application of law in state institutions and get to know campus life, lecture systems, and organizations in other universities. “We want students’ understanding to increase through this program, especially in law. Not only the practical context, but also the lecture process. That’s why we chose to visit state institutions and other universities,” he explained.
Furthermore, through this Practical Field Work, students are also expected to gain knowledge about job opportunities for Law graduates. “Of course, we hope that the knowledge gained from this Practical Field Work can be applied in the world of lectures, and can strengthen competence,” he added.
This field trip was also accompanied by the Head of Undiksha’s Department of Law and Citizenship, Dr. Dewa Gede Sudika Mangku, S.H., LL.M., and several teaching staff. (hms)
