Singaraja- Character strengthening for Teacher Professional Education (PPG) students at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) continues. For example, Saturday (1/4/2022), students are invited to take part in a healthy walk. This sport simultaneously builds togetherness and solidarity.
This healthy walk takes the route from the Undiksha Campus in Jinengdalem Village to Reasongker Village and vice versa. This activity was attended by pre-service PPG students in batches I and II. The activity assistant, Made Agus Januharsa, S.Kom., said that character-strengthening activities are routinely carried out every week. This health walk is one form of its implementation. This activity is to build togetherness among students, as well as to improve health so that in the future it will be more optimal in participating in PPG activities. “This is also a form of refreshment for students. We hope this will further increase motivation in participating in future activities, “he said.
One of the students, Kadek Suardani positively welcomed this activity. According to him, this is also a space to strengthen a sense of togetherness. “Especially before that, we were busy participating in PPL. Here we can meet to build togetherness,” she said.
This student of the education sciences group also considered that character-strengthening activities were very important to be carried out as a space to grow and strengthen students’ sense of responsibility. Meanwhile, related to the implementation of the Undiksha Pre-service PPG, she stated that it was very good, both from a systematic schedule and communicative admin and lecturers.
For information, character-strengthening activities for Pre-service PPG participants are a program of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. It’s just that in its implementation by PPG-implementing universities it is flexible. At Undiksha, this activity is consistently carried out once a week. Its activities are not only limited to the PBB but also others based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy, which consists of Parahyangan, namely maintaining good relations with God; pawongan, namely maintaining good relations with others; and palemahan, namely maintaining good relations with the environment. Through these three things, harmony will be created. (hms)
