It is hoped that their participation will not only enliven the event, but with the confidence and mentality they have, they can make achievements. “I hope that these students who have been selected certainly not only enliven but with confidence, with the mentality we hope they can make achievements properly,” he said.
In addition, Prof. Lasmawan also advised athletes to always maintain and uphold sportsmanship and return home safe and healthy. Meanwhile, the UKM Karate Yogi Parta Advisor said that his meeting with the leadership of this Institute was a tradition that was usually carried out when participating in competitions outside Bali in order to ask for blessings and support. “It is very extraordinary the Rector’s message that has been given to us at UKM Karate with his blessings and support,” he explained.
The participation of the three Undiksha athletes is expected to be able to repeat the glorious achievements that Undiksha had achieved at the same event in 2017. At that time, Undiksha managed to become the Third General Champion by defeating hundreds of athletes from various countries. The event, which had been in a vacuum due to the Covid-19 pandemic, has its own challenges because the opponent’s strength map cannot be known. However, Yogi Parta stated that he still tries to perform optimally in order to achieve achievements. Preparations to take part in this event have been made since 2 months ago and are ready to take part in the competition. (hms)
