Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) conducted a knowledge test for Teacher Profession Education in-service or Pendidikan Profesi Guru Dalam Jabatan (PPG-Daljab) participants category I in 2022. The exam was based on domicile on October 15 and 16, 2022. Through this exam, Undiksha is committed to maintaining quality.
The number of participants was 2,394 people consisting of 50 study fields. Not all participants were from the PPG Daljab Category I program at Undiksha, but many more were from other universities. The exam implementation is divided into four sessions, two sessions per day. In this case, Undiksha mobilized 40 supervisors.
The supervisor, Dr. Wahju Dyah Laksmi Wardhani, M.Pd., observed the implementation of this exam. According to her, it has been running smoothly, well, conducive, and orderly. It is undeniable that there are problems that occur, but they are not from the implementer but rather from the participants, such as technical problems with the device and poor internet network. In the future, this is expected to be addressed early so the exam implementation can improve. “We as supervisors, in the future, need to remind participants to check their devices and ensure that they are in a place where the signal is good. Because several times it happened (interference-ed), and it was detrimental to the participants. We don’t expect that to happen,” she said.
The supervisor from Jember, East Java, also advised maximizing the room’s utilization for future exams. “Undiksha itself can maximize the place because there is a large room. If it is filled, it can still be done. I don’t think it’s too disturbing because each supervisor has their own devices,” she added.
Undiksha PPG Coordinator, Drs. I Gede Nurjaya, M.Pd., explained that this knowledge test is the fourth time implemented by Undiksha. The implementation is not much different from the previous exam in terms of technical, supervision, and committee duties. “We are ready for it,” he said.
Inevitably, the implementation of this exam is still faced with obstacles. This is used as a reflection for implementing the next exam, which is expected to be better. Affirmed, through this exam and in general for all stages of PPG implementation, Undiksha is committed to always maintaining quality. “This is the most important thing. We are very committed to maintaining quality. When refreshing supervisors, we always emphasize that” he said.
He added that this knowledge test is the last bastion of students to be called professional teachers. Therefore, supervision is carried out strictly. “We also supervise the supervisors. Each room has a person in charge. We don’t want any cheating from the participants,” Nurjaya concluded.
Before the exam implementation, Undiksha had carried out preparations and briefing, which was attended by all committees and supervisors. This event was attended directly by the supervisor. (hms)
