Singaraja- Thousands of Ganesha Education University (Undiskha) students were immediately deployed to a number of villages to carry out Real Work Lectures (KKN). Students from various undergraduate-level study programs are encouraged to contribute to the success of the program launched by the village government. This was conveyed by the Head of the Undiksha KKN Center, Drs. I Putu Panca Adi, M.Pd while giving socialization at the Auditorium, Tuesday (30/4/2019).
It was explained that the KKN, which was scheduled from June 26 to August 10, 2019, was attended by around 2,180 students, spread across 28 villages in Gianyar Regency, and 26 villages each in Jembrana, Klungkung and Karangasem Regencies. The implementation this year is a little different. Namely, there is a request from the district and village governments. “In the past, we asked the village. Now the village is asking. To change this, we are carrying out FGDs by inviting the District Government through related agencies. But of the seven districts, only four came. Badung and Denpasar were not invited because we considered them already advanced,” he explained.
Through this program, students are expected to be able to mature their knowledge and social life. It is no less important to support the acceleration of village development through the programs rolled out, including social culture, creative economy, health, appropriate technology, and disaster mitigation as recommended by the central government. “We hope that this KKN can support village development. Student placement is also seen from the perspective of village needs. It is also hoped that from this, superior future leaders will emerge in accordance with Undiksha’s vision. “We just have to fill it, give the best,” added Panca Adi. (hms)
