Singaraja- The Implementation of Competency Selection for Candidates for Civil Servants (SKB-CPNS) for the 2019 fiscal year at the University of Education Ganesha (Undiksha) was monitored by the Chair of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia Representative for Bali, Umar Ibnu Alkhatab, Wednesday (23/9/2020). The implementation of this selection is appreciated because it has gone well.
The presence of Ibn Alkhatab was received directly by the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., accompanied by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I., and Head of General Affairs and Finance Bureau, Ni Luh Wayan Yasmiati, S.H., and Chair of the Committee, I Made Karunia, S.T., M.Kom.
Ibnu Alkhatab inspected the places where the interview exams were held one by one which were located in a number of rooms in the Rectorate. The same goes for the exam micro-teaching which is located at UPT Information and Communication Technology. He also took the time to ensure technical readiness. Based on the monitoring results, it was stated that Undiksha had made good preparations, including in terms of facilities in this virtual selection. “Everything was well prepared,” he said.
Appreciation is also aimed at Undiksha’s steps which involve examiners from elements of leadership and lecturers who have expertise in the field. Through this, it is expected to produce quality lecturers who can make Undiksha even better. “We also see that the implementation of this selection has strictly implemented the Covid-19 prevention protocol,” he added.
The Chancellor of Undiksha, I Nyoman Jampel also expressed his appreciation to the Ombudsman for paying attention to the implementation of this selection. “We welcome it positively because Pak Umar was able to come to Undiksha to ensure the implementation of the selection,” he said. The selection implementation, continued by the Chancellor from Nusa Dua, Badung, fully follows the policies of the Ministry of Education and Culture. Undiksha is only the executor and prepares the Human Resources (HR) involved in the selection. He also conveyed that this selection took place completely virtually, including sending the results of the assessment to the center. “For the things that were asked, the testers also just found out when they just entered the application. We didn’t know beforehand. We are strict with the regulations determined by the center,” said Jampel.
Previously, the head of the committee, I Made Karunia, S.T., M.Kom., explained that there were 78 participants in the selection and would compete for 32 formations, all of which were for lecturers. They will also take the Computer Based Test (CBT) on September 29, 2020. In more detail, the formation will be presented for various scientific fields that will be placed in certain study programs in several faculties. At the Faculty of Economics, the scientific fields sought are economics, accounting, and management education. The Faculty of Law and Social Sciences consists of education in sociology, (pure) sociology, social studies, libraries, and information systems. Faculty of Languages and Arts, the formation is Mandarin and Japanese. At the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the formation is intended for applicants in the fields of mathematics, education in biology, food chemistry, physics, marine cultivation, and aquaculture. Faculty of Engineering and Vocational, its formation consists of information systems, computer science, education research and evaluation, and tourism. Faculty of Sports and Health, its formation for nursing and midwifery. Finally, for the Faculty of Medicine, with the formation of specialist doctors. “The educational qualifications of these participants are also doctoral degrees,” said Karunia who also serves as Head of Undiksha’s Personnel Section.
