Sitting by the side of Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., as Rector of Undiksha attended Press Conference of SBMPTN 2018 held in Ganesha I Undiksha on Tuesday (8/5). Prof. H. Mohamad Nasir, Ph.D., Ak. as Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education talked about the amount of new student admissions and disability students who desired to take into university.
He said that the total of new student admissions in 2018 was 340,667,000 students including 117,000 students through SNMPTN, 135,000 students through SBMPTN, and 88,000 students through SMBJM. Among the total of the new student admissions, 60,000 students would receive bidikmisi scholarships.
There were 365 participants with special needs or disabled people who signed up for SBMPTN. They should be served and assisted if it was needed, for example, blind participants who was accompanied by special supervisors.
Mohamad Nasir also expected for the fairness in SBMPTN. If cheating happened among the students or committees, there would be a firmly consequence as the ministry would not tolerate any cheating in education in Indonesia.
The press conference with the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education was ended with a signing on black block label by Prof. H. Mohamad Nasir, Ph.D., Ak., Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education as a ratification symbol of 3 buildings, Academic Division of University Head Building, Jatayu Campus of Undiksha, and Jineng Dalem Campus of Undiksha.
