Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) not only enrolls students in the regular Community Service Program (KKN) but also nationalities. Specifically for 2019, they won places in Ternate City and Tidore Islands City, North Maluku Province, with five students. The release was by the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M. Pd., Tuesday (9/7/2019).
These students come from the Citizenship Education Study Program, Economic Education Study Program, Early Childhood Education Study Program, Geography Education Study Program, and English Language Education Study Program. At the meeting that took place that morning, Chancellor Jampel said that in the KKN which took place from 18 July to 22 August, students must be able to build unity with other students, promote a sense of tolerance, including implementing the Tri Hita Karana philosophy which is the basis of Undiksha’s vision as a superior university in Asia in 2045. “Tri Hita Karana must continue to be carried forward,” he said.
Not only that, students who will enter the fifth semester are also asked to maintain the good name of their addressees and be able to appear confident. “Many people have appreciated Undiksha. Students must have a sense of pride. “Show it firmly from Undiksha,” he stressed. The Chancellor also asked them to be able to introduce Undiksha to a wider audience and convey the achievements and programs that have been rolled out. “After returning from KKN, you must also be an example for other students,” he added.
Head of the Undiksha KKN Center, Drs. I Putu Panca Adi, M.Pd., explained that Undiksha has been participating in national KKN since 2017. Especially this time it is under the auspices of Khairun University. “The grades are given directly by the university there,” he explained. It was further stated that students who take part in this program must previously take part in administrative selection and interviews. “18 people registered. But the quota is only 5 people. “For financing, the university provides subsidies,” he explained. Through this KKN, students gain more insight. Not only limited to implementing the scientific disciplines taken in lectures. “For regular KKN, it is more about implementing the scientific disciplines. “In terms of nationality, you really get insight into nationality, about maintaining unity, and so on related to society,” he added.
