Singaraja- At the end of 2022, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) completed a lecture hall. This building is to support the optimization of learning activities for students. Before its function, a mlaspas (Hinduism ceremony of cleaning the new building from negative aura before it is used) ceremony was held on Friday (30/12/2022).
The ceremony was attended by rectorate leadership, several deans, teaching staff, employees, PPK, and project implementers. The ceremony began with a pacaruan ceremony and went smoothly and solemnly.
He further explained that in education transformation, there are inputs and processes. In the process, infrastructure is one of the determining aspects to run well, likewise in increasing public interest in taking education at Undiksha. “This is one of our goals because universities will become the community’s grand, idol, and choice if the output is good. This can be realized if the 8 key performance indicators are met, whether it is human resources, curriculum, financing, management and especially the infrastructures, “he said. In addition to this building, in the next year, Undiksha seeks to improve other infrastructure facilities, including the construction of a Teaching Hospital, a Public Lecture Building, the Education and Training Center building, and the lecture building on the Denpasar campus.
Acting Commitment Maker or Penjabat Pembuat Komitmen (PPK) Undiksha, I Gede Supriadi, S.E., M.Pd appreciated the committee for good cooperation so that this development could run smoothly following the direction of Undiksha’s leadership.
He also saw that no significant obstacles were experienced during the construction. In addition, the quality of the building is also relatively good. After the physical construction, it will be continued with filling furniture and other internal equipment. However, this is still waiting for the leadership policy, likewise with the arrangement of the outside environment of the building.
Meanwhile, Project implementer I Putu Agus Indika Puspayana expressed his gratitude to Undiksha for the trust given to work on this Rp 9.6 billion building. After the mlaspas ceremony, his party will continue to carry periodic physical checks and remain responsible for the two-year maintenance period. “For the maintenance period, we are responsible, it is stated in the contract. We are responsible until the maintenance period, which is 2 years,” he explained.
For information, the building consists of four floors starting from the basement and 24 classrooms. The work starts in July 2022 and is limited to physical. This building will support the implementation of the teaching and learning process at Undiksha. (hms)
