Singaraja- There are quite a lot of Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) students who have produced achievements, both at provincial and national levels. Some have even reached the international level. Despite these achievements, efforts to improve continue to be made. This was conveyed by Vice Chancellor III Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., when opening the briefing event for the Community Creativity Program (PKM) to be funded in 2019 and the Student Entrepreneurship Program (PMW), Friday (14/6/2019).
The vice chancellor, who was just appointed on June 12, 2019, acknowledged that increasing student achievement still needs to be boosted and management improved. This must also receive support from lecturers and students themselves. “We need to improve management. This must be maximized. “I want more achievements in the future,” he stressed. It is also seen that ongoing assistance steps cannot be ignored. In the future, students’ readiness to take part in competitions must be truly mature. “Don’t just assist twice, it’s finished. But it must be done continuously. I am ready to help guide,” he stressed.
The achievements that want to be boosted are not limited to the academic field, but non-academic ones, such as PKM which can win achievements in the National Student Science Week (PIMNAS) and PMW competitions held at the center. “We also encourage students who receive scholarships to demonstrate their achievements. In the near future, I will collect it. “If it’s not like that, the scholarship will be evaluated,” said the former Undiksha Postgraduate Director.
Apart from providing provisions, the party is also planning a PKM and PMW celebration. This breakthrough is one way to foster enthusiasm for work. “This was by design. “This year’s plan is running,” he said. He emphasized that this achievement, especially on a national and international scale, is very important to support an increase in the grade of the institution. This further strengthens competitiveness. “This achievement is not only important for the institution. But also the students themselves. When you graduate, you can use it to accompany your diploma. “It can fulfill work requirements,” he added. (hms)
