Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) reviewing proposals for the construction of a tourism medical teaching hospital, on 15 – 16 December 2018. The activity which took place at the Inna Sindhu Beach Hotel, Sanur, Denpasar involved three reviewers from the center, in addition to the Planning Department and Faculty of Medicine (FK) Undiksha.
Undiksha Chancellor, Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., said that the construction of the hospital was very important to support the FK which was officially established in August 2018. Therefore, the completion of the proposal was accelerated so that it could be submitted to the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education and continued to the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas). “There have been three reviews of the proposal. “This continues to be accelerated so that it can be immediately submitted to the center,” he said when opening the FGD accompanied by Deputy Chancellor I, Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Arnyana, M.Si, and Deputy Chancellor II, Prof. Dr. Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd. According to the plan, the construction of the lecture building and eleven laboratories required a very large budget. It is hoped that the central government can provide assistance and support the acceleration of development.
Meanwhile, the reviewers present, namely Prof. Ir. Yohanes Sardjono, APU., Eddy Sidarta, and Dr. Dr. Bagaswoto Poedjoartono, Sp. Rad (K) RI, SP. KN., M. Kes. FICA. In general, the three of them provide input so that the proposal is prepared carefully and the proposal covers all needs. No less important, according to him, must also be submitted supporting data, such as the total number of students and projections of the number of FK students in the long term. (hms)
