Singaraja– Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) is committed to contributing to the development of Bali. Various strategic ideas were initiated to materialize, one of which was the Culture Techno Park (CTP). This idea was put forward directly to the central government by the Chancellor of Undiksha, I Nyoman Jampel when invited by the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg), Practical, Monday (25/4/2022).
Rector Jampel’s presence at the office of the Ministry of State Secretariat in Jakarta was accompanied by Vice Chancellors I, II, and III. On that occasion, the Praktikno Minister was accompanied by the President’s Special Staff Coordinator, Anak Agung Ari Dwipayana.
Jampel conveyed various breakthroughs and creative ideas for the future development of Undiksha, one of which is the plan to build CTP. The implications of this development are not only to strengthen Undiksha in terms of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely education and teaching, research, and community service. More than that, it is also to provide color for strengthening the Balinese economy. This is in line with Pratikno’s hopes, that Undiksha can become one of the pioneers to balance the economic inequality between South Bali and North Bali.
Through the meeting, the Chancellor of Jampel stated that Pratikno positively welcomed the idea of building CTP. “This can be developed. We are asked not to have to wait for a physical building or a building. But how can CTP activities be carried out as early as possible, as practical as possible, and provide benefits to the community, especially Buleleng and Bali in general,” he explained.
This support, he continued, is a motivation for Undiksha to continue to make innovative breakthroughs that have a positive impact on society. In addition to CTP, Undiksha also initiated the idea of building an integrated tourism training education laboratory, a superior teacher education and training center, and the construction of an educational hospital which was clearly conveyed by this very humble chancellor. In essence, Undiksha’s idea was none other than to support government programs in the development of Human Resources (HR). “We also convey how the central government’s support for Undiksha is getting better in the future,” he continued.
The Chancellor of Jampel further conveyed Minister Pratikno’s hopes for the Undiksha academic community. He asked to be able to do something in a practical and objective academic corridor without ignoring quality. “It means that what can be done, do it. Don’t wait,” he said.
After the meeting, the chancellor and his staff will close their ranks to reconfirm development proposals. (hms)
