Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) continues to maximize attention to the absorption of graduates. In order to increase competitiveness in the world of work, especially graduates from the Vocational Study Program, students are provided with competency certificates, through competency tests during lectures. This underlies the establishment of the Professional Certification Agency (LSP) Party 1 which has been licensed and given an SK by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP), Friday (24/1/2020).
The BNSP team was chaired by Bonardo Aldo Tobing. He who was present with Wulandhari explained that before the decree was given, BNSP conducted a witness test to ensure and ensure accountability and legitimacy of the implementation of the competency test at LSP Undiksha according to the rules. According to him, there are a number of aspects that must be followed, starting from the participant registration process to verify decisions, Competency Test Sites (TUK) that have been determined according to the flow and mechanism of the implementation of competency tests, and the decision-making process. “This is what LSP should pay attention to,” he said.
During this visit, field observations were also carried out by targeting activities in the hospitality sector located at the Engineering and Vocational Faculty and Edutel Undiksha. In general, the readiness of LSP Undiksha is considered good enough. However, it is hoped that there will still be improvements that will have an impact on improving quality. “In general it’s been good. For deficiencies can be corrected. There is a time for that,” he added.
Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., said LSP was very important for Undiksha which has 16 Vocational Study Programs. Through this institution, students will be able to take the competency test directly, without going through another party. “LSP is very important for big institutions like Undiksha. Therefore, it must be a priority scale,” he said.
The establishment of this institution was proposed to BNSP two years ago. BNSP admitted that being an independent institution, it was not easy to issue decrees (SK) and permits. “With the decree, Undiksha is eligible to carry out a competency test. LSP Undiksha is an extension of BNSP. Thus, LSP activities are independent and apart from the campus,” he said. (hms)
