Singaraja- The Institute for Learning Development and Quality Assurance at the Ganesha University of Education (LPPPM-Undiksha) held a coordination meeting regarding the implementation of the 2020 School Field Introduction (PLP) program, Wednesday (20/5/2020). In the midst of a situation that is still shrouded in Covid-19, the implementation of the annual program has been prepared in a new mode.
Head of PLP Dr. Dewa Bagus Sanjaya, M.Sc., explained that the program is scheduled to take place in August – October. However, at that time there was no guarantee that the situation would be free from Covid-19. Therefore, Undiksha prepared a mode called Introduction to Schooling Fields Based on Social Restrictions (PLPbPS). “In the midst of this uncertain situation, of course, Undiksha is trying to innovate for program implementation,” he explained.
The meeting also included directions from the Head of LPPPM Undiksha, Prof. Dr. AAIN. Marhaeni, M.A. He who was accompanied by the Secretary of LPPPM Prof. Dr. I Made Ardana, M.Pd., emphasized that Undiksha is ready to carry out field practices in the midst of this pandemic. “We are preparing this program as best we can. So that in the midst of this pandemic, it can run as expected, “she said.
It was explained, there were at least 7 characteristics of PLPbPS, namely (1) implemented during a pandemic, (2) freedom for students to determine training schools, (3) demands creativity and learning innovation according to the situation, (4) restrictions on the number of study group members, (5) online guidance, (6) online monitoring, and (7) modification of assessment instruments according to the situation. In this program, the basis of social restrictions is really emphasized to support the government’s efforts to break the chain of distribution of Covid-19. “In essence, we want this program to run without violating the Covid-19 prevention protocol,” she said.
This superior accredited university also implements Online-based Independent Real Work Lectures (KKN). The concept of implementation is also similar to PLPbPS. Even though it is a new program, students are encouraged to maximally explore problems in society, especially those related to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, and be able to come up with a solution.
