Singaraja- As many as 21 lecturers at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) received a Government Employee Decree with a Work Agreement (PPPK), on Monday (4/9/2023). In line with this, the lecturers of various study programs were asked to immediately improve their educational qualifications, beyond the minimum requirement of being a lecturer.
The SK was handed over by the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd. He was accompanied by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I, Deputy Chancellor for Planning, Finance, and General Affairs, Dr. I Wayan Artanayasa, S.Pd., M.Pd., and the Head of the Finance and General Affairs Bureau, Ni Luh Wayan Yasmiati, S.H., M.Pd.
On this occasion, the Chancellor conveyed three things to the lecturers. First, in accordance with the new and updated Civil Service Law, ASN consists of 2 categories, namely predicated as PNS and existing as PPPK. The composition, rights, and status are all the same in the same law. Likewise self-development opportunities. The difference is that the PPPK performance contract must be renewed every year to ensure ASN is performing. Therefore, it is hoped that these lecturers will not be discouraged as PPPK.
Second, Undiksha is currently trying to improve and process from PTN-BLU to PTN-BH. Reaching this target is not easy. It takes the commitment and performance of all components of the community including the lecturers. Therefore, in the not-too-distant future, these lecturers are encouraged to improve their academic qualifications. All of them must be more than the minimum limit of a lecturer who currently has a master’s education qualification. “If the current lecturer requirements are Masters, then you should come out of the minimum requirements. That is the essence of an academic not feeling comfortable and uncomfortable,” he said.
This was also emphasized to the Deans so that later it would not hinder lecturers who wish to further study. “With an increase in academic qualifications, I’m sure that person will definitely be able to do more than before,” he said.
The third thing that was conveyed, in implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, all PPPK lecturers were able to carry it out well. In addition, specifically academic services to students must be provided optimally. (hms)
