Singaraja-Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) students again succeeded in making achievements at the national level. This time it came from the Student Entrepreneurship Innovation Competition & Expo organized by Tidar University on June 10-11 2023. The Undiksha team consisting of I Gede Artha Wibawa, Kartika Nikova, Nyoman Dewi Ratna Iswara, and Putu Suardana won 1st place.
In this event which was attended by hundreds of teams, the Undiksha team created a business idea called PAZDG with the concept of digitizing traditional markets. Through this platform, traditional market traders are expected to be optimally empowered. This application carries 4 features, namely the One Click feature: shopping for market needs menus with one click of a recipe; the Recipe Warehouse feature: viewing various Indonesian menu recipes; the Market Entry feature: Features to find and view the nearest market complete with its wares; and the Market Catalog feature: a feature for buying and selling market products complete with information and photos.
Team representative, Kartika Nikova said that the creation of this business idea was faced with challenges, namely traditional markets have a heterogeneous concept with traders selling different products. Another challenge is that the average trader comes from farmers who are not fluent in the concept of e-Commerce. “This causes the process of branding and collaboration to be constrained,” he explained.
The achievements made are the pride of the team. “There are several things that make this race different. Long distances take a lot of time, so we have very little time to prepare. Plus the number of items to bring to expos and exhibitions. Moreover, the team members are currently all interns. Being able to come out as champion 1 is something beyond our predictions, which we are very grateful for, “he added.
Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs, Public Relations, and Undiksha Alumni, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd expressed his appreciation for this achievement. “We as leaders are proud of this achievement,” he said. In the future, it is hoped that the achievements of Undiksha students will continue to grow, especially from national and international level competitions. “Apart from being important for university rankings, this achievement is also important for students to increase their competitiveness,” he concluded.
