Singaraja – Ganesha University of Education is again preparing to participate in the 2021 Student Rating Management System (SIMKATMAWA). After 2020 it managed to get the 23rd national ranking, in 2021, Undiksha targets to maintain this ranking, even trying to rise to the top 20. This was revealed at the SIMKATMAWA award ceremony between Faculties, which was held online, Tuesday (20/4/2021).
Undiksha SIMKATMAWA Team Leader, Dr. I Wayan Widiana, S.Pd., M.Pd., said that currently, SIMKATMAWA is one of the most prestigious university events in Indonesia to evaluate universities that can demonstrate the success of the educational process through the achievements obtained. “For this reason, Undiksha continues to improve to prepare itself to reach a higher rank,” he said.
Widiana also revealed that Undiksha’s achievements were the efforts and support of the entire academic community. “In 2020, with the strong support of the Chancellor and all parties, Undiksha is ranked 23rd nationally out of 4,800 existing tertiary institutions. In 2021, on the instructions of the Chancellor, we have also conducted SIMKATMAWA rankings and awards in the university environment by involving all faculties. Through this award activity, Undiksha began to prepare itself from the faculty level to improve the motivational performance of the leadership that SIMKATMAWA is important and all must contribute,” he said.
Meanwhile, Undiksha Chancellor, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., really appreciate the efforts of the academic community to realize Undiksha’s ideals. “With all the performance, finally in 2020, we are ranked 23rd. This is a very proud achievement. As we know, we have agreed to fulfill the university’s aspirations to make Undiksha a trend-setter and an International Reputable University of Education and Leadership,” he said when opening the activity accompanied by the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Public Relations, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd.
Jampel also added that this achievement was achieved because the academic community worked in harmony. “Because we work smart, sincerely, and together in a harmonious frame. As a leader, I always hope that there are still opportunities for Undiksha to increase its ranking status. If we can set targets for the team to work on, maybe we can be ranked 20th,” he said.
In addition, on this occasion, SIMKATMAWA socialization was also carried out to the leadership levels from the rectorate, dean, deputy dean, and heads of departments to coordinating study programs, by presenting two speakers, namely Alamul Huda, S.Si. and Dr. Parmin. Meanwhile, in the awarding of SIMKATMAWA at the University level, the 1st place was won by the Engineering and Vocational Faculty with 59,426 points, followed by the Economics Faculty and the Education Sciences Faculty as 2nd and 3rd place with 46,211 and 39,743 points respectively.
