Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) received a visit from I Gusti Bagus Sugriwa State Hindu University (UHN), Denpasar, Tuesday (11/7/2023). This visit is in order to share regarding the drafting of the Senate Guidelines.
During this visit, the Chairman of the UHN Senate IGB Sugriwa, Prof. Dr. Drs. Nengah Lestawi., M.Sc. with the Chancellor Prof. Dr. Drs. I Gusti Ngurah Sudiana, M.Sc. His presence was accepted by the Chairperson of the Undiksha Senate, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Sudiana, M.Pd with the Chancellor Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd.,
Chairman of the UHN Senate IGB Sugriwa Prof. Nengah Lestawi explained his visit to Undiksha was in the context of sharing information related to the preparation of the Senate Guidelines, discussing guidelines and proposing lecturer promotions/positions, and guidelines and determining the Senate budget. This is done so that in the future the University really has adequate guidelines in accordance with existing conditions.
Delivered further, currently, UHN IGB Sugriwa is in the middle of improving, especially with regard to university governance. The choice of Undiksha as a place for sharing, apart from being the closest location and both managing the education sector, is also because they have collaborated for a long time so there needs to be real action taken. “Cooperating, so there must be actions that can be done immediately, not just letters,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Chancellor of UHN IGB Sugriwa Prof. I Gusti Ngurah Sudiana said that in the future there would be a lot of cooperation with Undiksha. His visit this time referred to Undiksha which already has international standards, has BLU status which is on its way to PTN BH, already has experience in managing tertiary institutions and there has been collaboration for a long time. So that the collaboration will continue. Collaboration is not only related to the Senate but also to strengthening the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. “Later there may be collaborations, such as student exchanges, research and community service, and KKN,” he explained.
Chairman of the Undiksha Senate Prof. Nyoman Sudiana gave his appreciation for choosing Undiksha as a place for sharing. In the discussion that was carried out, various things were raised that were questions from the UHN IGB Sugriwa group. It is hoped that in the future, the collaboration between the two universities can continue to be established, in order to achieve an increase in the quality of each. (hms)
