Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) has lost a member of the family, Ni Made Serli Mahardika. This fourth-semester student at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences died at the hands of her close friend recently. The tragedy that befell him sparked deep concern from the Chancellor, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd. “Of course, as a parent on campus, I, along with the entire academic community, feel very concerned about this incident,” he said, Friday (12/4/2019).
The former Dean of the Undiksha Faculty of Education (FIP) hopes that this will be the last such incident. Other students are also reminded to always be self-aware and selective in their relationships. “Hopefully incidents like this will never happen again,” he said.
Especially in Undiksha, harmonious living has often been echoed through the Tri Hita Karana philosophy. This also becomes the basis for realizing the institution’s vision, to become a superior university in Asia by 2045. “As an educational institution, we of course also encourage how to build good relationships between humans and God, between each other and the environment,” he added.
