Singaraja- The Ganesha University of Education Alumni Association (IKA-Undiksha) is committed to contributing to the success of the free learning, independent campus, and driving teacher policies launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. As an effort to equalize commitments, this has been supported by holding a seminar, Friday (13/3/2020). This activity was also part of the election for IKA management for the 2020-2024 period.
Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., who was the guest speaker, said that alumni are representatives of the university. In this case, it must contribute to the success of government policies aimed at improving the quality of institutions. “IKA’s role is extraordinary. From this, we will be able to tell the policies and achievements of the university to the public,” he said accompanied by Deputy Rector I, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.TI., and Vice Rector III, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd.
He also encourages the members of this organization to always be able to take steps quickly in situations and conditions that occur. In this case, you need to refer to the science of entrepreneurship, that is, you have to be able to read opportunities, you have to be able to seize opportunities and currents can create opportunities. “If we can’t seize the opportunity, it means we have to be able to create opportunities,” he said.
In independent learning, independent campuses, and driving teachers, IKA has a very important role, especially in formulating educational planning and development. “I want IKA to be at the forefront of applying the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and dedicating itself to the advancement of society and the country,” he hoped.
At the seminar which took place at the Undiksha General Seminar Building, the Chancellor of Jampel also conveyed various Undiksha achievements, including programs initiated in an effort to increase competitiveness and accelerate the realization of the vision of becoming a superior university based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy in Asia in 2045. “Achievement many students are born. Undiksha is not inferior to other universities. We hope that IKA can convey this to the public,” he asked.
Meanwhile, the management of IKA Undiksha in Badung Regency, Drs. I Made Agus Suarsika, M.Pd., stated his commitment to contribute to the development of his alma mater. This will be communicated further with other members. “I hope Undiksha will get better in the future,” he said. The chairman of the seminar committee, I Gede Suwiwa, S.Pd., M.Pd., said that the implementation of this activity was not limited to equating the commitment to move together in welcoming a series of new policies from the ministry. But also maintaining friendships between IKA members. “We want what has become government policy to be disseminated,” he explained. Especially for the election of the IKA Undiksha board, the Chancellor of Jampel was again trusted as the chairman. The other management is still the same as in the previous period.
