Singaraja- The Institute for Research and Community Service at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) received a visit from the Akprind Yogyakarta Institute of Science and Technology (IST), Friday (28/2/2020). From this, discussed cooperation in the implementation of the program. “The purpose of the visit was to establish collaboration with fellow LPPMs,” said the Head of LPPM Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Gede Astra Wesnawa, M.Sc.
This academic from Dalung, Badung Regency explained that LPPM Undiksha and IST Akprind Yogyakarta were both included in the main cluster. However, it was explained specifically about Undiksha, in the field of research, for the main cluster it was ranked fourth at the national level. Meanwhile, community service is in the sixth position. “This advantage we have,” he explained.
The visit from the warm city institute was positively welcomed. They were even immediately invited to discuss cooperation in the field of P2M, including holding international conferences, especially in the fields of technology and science. “We welcome it because, in the performance of research and service, one of the indicators is if there is a partner. If there is no cooperation, no matter how many conferences we have, no matter how many seminars we have, it will be useless if it is not complemented by cooperation,” he said.
A representative from Akprind Yogyakarta Institute of Science and Technology, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sudarsono, M.T., also expressed the same thing. His presence at Undiksha was based on wanting to collaborate in the development of P2Mt. He hopes that this can run, so as to provide benefits for each tertiary institution. (hms)
