Singaraja- As many as 39 lecturers at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) who passed the 2019 Civil Servant Candidates (CPNS) selection received a Civil Servants Decree (SK-PNS), Friday (19/6/2020). The submission was made directly by the Rector of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd, in the Rectorate’s Ganesha III Room.
On that occasion, the Chancellor of Jampel said that Undiksha continues to move to improve quality which leads to accelerating the realization of the vision of becoming a superior university based on the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana in Asia in 2045. Apart from that, it also becomes a trendsetter university. This requires the support of the entire academic community, including these young lecturers with various disciplines. “I want all of these lecturers to become agents of change. Can make changes for Undiksha for the better, “he said.
Delivered further, as academics, lecturers are not only concerned with the Tri Dharma of Higher Education which concerns education and teaching, research, and community service. But also need to improve self-quality by conducting further studies. Even these lecturers are challenged to pursue doctoral education abroad. “I hope that I can quickly continue my education, and quickly return to Undiksha,” he said.
Undiksha as one of the tertiary institutions that has been accredited superior makes the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana the “spirit” of development. This philosophy which boils down to harmony must be held and implemented by the lecturers. “This really has to be implemented. This includes tat twam asi,” said the Chancellor of Jampel.
He added that these lecturers also need to create innovative movements in the midst of the 4.0 industrial revolution era by prioritizing attitude creative, collaborative, communicative, and critical. “This 4C also needs to be added toCharacter. This is very important,” he added.
Meanwhile, Undiksha Deputy Chancellor for Planning, Administration, Finance, and Human Resources, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd said that working as an educator must be able to be an example, including in using social media. Everything must be done wisely and precisely. “What is conveyed on social media is academic in nature,” he said.
The handover of the decree with the protocol for preventing the spread of Covid-19 was also attended by Undiksha’s Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Cooperation, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.TI., Head of General Affairs and Finance Bureau, Ni Luh Wayan Yasmiati, S.H., and Head of Academic, Student Affairs, Planning, and Cooperation Bureau, Drs.
